The Hungarian American Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) is a dynamic, non-profit, non-political, independent service organization. We are dedicated to furthering the development of relations between Hungary and the United States, promoting trade, establishing joint ventures and fostering new business and job opportunities both in the US and Hungary.

Through luncheons, networking events and special programs, the Chamber provides a forum for members to exchange ideas and information with guests from all sectors of government and the business world. Our guest speakers are distinguished Hungarian or American business and government representatives. All meetings are conducted in English.

Hungary joining the European Union presents an unprecedented business opportunity

In May 2004, Hungary joined the EU. This  created an unprecedented business opportunity for US companies entering Hungary. The Chamber is available to assist companies with all the necessary business intelligence in order to make an informed decision. We can highlight the benefits of doing business in Hungary, identify opportunities, and facilitate introductions to key companies and organizations.

Since the political and economic changes of 1989, Hungary has steadily developed into one of Central Europe’s most attractive business environments. It achieved political and economic stability while successfully transforming into a modern market economy. As a result of this stability, Hungary joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 1996, became a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1999, and became a full member of the European Union in May, 2004.
